Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest first culture across the storeExperience supporting daily/weekly stores’ workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goalsExperience leading closing routines while partnering with area and store leaders on procedure, process and team member concernsSkills in workload efficiency across the store
As a Closing Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
Understand your role in sales growth and how each area contributes to and impacts total store profitabilityExecute store strategies to deliver business results and store sales goals while prioritizing the guest experienceBe a partner to the store leadership team through communication and collaboration to influence current sales performance and workload deliverables, leverage daily check-in and check-outs and leadership meetings as connection pointsEstablish consistent routines and lead the team to ensure departments are zoned, in-stock, signed and labeled appropriately, including sales plans set timely and promotional signing set accuratelyUse the business planning tools to share priorities and business updates with store leadershipTake action to achieve performance goalsExpect and enable team members to stay up-to-date on relevant trends and productsEvaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric teamClose knowledge and skill gaps through training and experiencesEstablish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations; partner with leaders as needed to share performance feedbackOversee total store operationsAs a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processesAddress store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.)Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guestAlways demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead and hold the team accountable to work in the same wayAll other duties based on business needs

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Closing Team Leader. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:
Previous retail experience preferred, but not requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of age or olderLead and hold others accountableLearn and adapt to current technology needsWork independently and as part of a teamManage workload and prioritize tasks independentlyWelcoming and helpful attitudeEffective communication skills
