Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing operational and administrative support of sourcing activities. The sourcing administrator coordinates with sourcing managers, supply chain, suppliers, and various other internal teams to help facilitate supplier and item onboarding as well as purchasing activities. Sourcing administrators share their sourcing/purchasing knowledge and analysis to support business projects and initiatives. Sourcing administrators execute certain administrative activities, such as maintaining the contract repository. Sourcing administrators are expected to develop strong, positive business relationships with internal and external customers at all levels to understand and support customers effectively.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinates the collection, review, and distribution of key supplier and item data to business units.
Executes in applicable systems the creation and maintenance of supplier records, purchasing documents, contract records, and related data elements.
Provides troubleshooting and resolution of issues impacting supplier lifecycle, item lifecycle, and purchasing activities.
Assess and determines appropriate procurement avenue for requisitions requested by the enterprise or by sourcing.
Supports small and mid-sized projects and initiatives by completing deliverables as assigned by project team.
Utilizes error and exception reporting to proactively research and resolve purchasing issues before business is impacted.
Serves as a consultant regarding sourcing and purchasing transactions to cross-functional teams working on process improvements and for system enhancements or changes.
Partners with business to provide expertise in supplier/item setup and purchasing activities to identify solutions for specific or non-standard requests and initiatives
Ensures that all requests are compliant with Starbucks supplier and purchasing standards; coordinates resolution of requests that do not meet established standards.
Collaborates effectively with suppliers and potential suppliers to gather and analyze data, develop topic specific insights and accomplish given tasks within established service levels.
Education (minimum education level, degree or certification necessary): Appropriate combination of relatable experience and/or applicable education.
Skills (minimum skills required):
Possess understanding of sourcing and purchasing activities
Experience utilizing ERP to facilitate purchasing activities
Ability to constructively work with internal and external customers to resolve issues impacting the purchasing of products from suppliers
Experienced in managing high work volumes to a static service level agreement
Skilled at managing multiple requests simultaneously through standard business work flows
Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills (minimum needed to be qualified):
Analytical, supply chain, or other relevant experience – 2 years
Experience in customer service focused environments – 3 years
Exposure to sourcing, procurement, or planning activities – 1 years
Utilization of financial accounting systems (Oracle or similar) – 1 years
Moderate to advanced expertise with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel – 2 years
