Validation Technician

Job description          

The purpose of the Validation Technician is to coordinate validation activities of systems and processes at the Monroe facility. This will include Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ), as well as cleaning validation.

Collaborate with other functional departments to develop and implement validation test plans
Interact with individuals from different disciplines (Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality) to plan, execute and complete validation activities, including reports and corrective action items to ensure timely completion
Work in close proximity to equipment / processes under review
Ensure validation efforts are conducted in an appropriate and timely manner
Perform QC testing related to validation activities
Collect and collate data obtained from the various validation activities
Assist in validation testing for new products and process improvements
Assist in the review of all key documents developed and executed by applicable personnel
Assist in the on-going maintenance of all validation documents
Participate in and review all change controls (CC) and evaluate for revalidation activities
Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
Provide other assistance as required by the QA/QC Manager
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Technical

Science degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar fields preferred (relevant technical diploma considered)
1 year experience in validation activities preferred
Experience in equipment and test method validation preferred
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in the FDA, WSDA, NHPD, and TGA expectations
Six Sigma Green belt proficiency an asset
Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
Technical writing experience required
Experience with the following computer programs in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
Data entry, trending and analysis experience required
Minitab, Syspro, Datascope and/or LIMS experience considered an asset
Able to travel off-site within a radius of 25 miles from home office to conduct job functions as needed
Must be able to travel to Canada for meetings and training as needed
