Seasonal Inventory Handling Generalist

Job description          

General Summary
As an Inventory Handling Generalist you will be required to effectively perform specific tasks and functions related to inventory receiving, storage, and replenishment in the fulfillment warehouse which will require some data entry and powered equipment operation. You will be expected to follow all safety, ergonomic and operation procedures. You will be held accountable for remaining focused and consistently achieving task accuracy, quality and efficiency expectations. You must remain flexible regarding changing priorities and rotation of task assignments, and consistently display a positive, flexible, and teamwork attitude, adhering to company core competencies.

Schedule
Full, Part-Time, or Flex -Time; Core or Seasonal as agreed.
Day shift with flexibility to work evenings or weekend days as required.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Safety & Quality
Consistently adhere to all work safety, and ergonomic processes and procedures. Report any observed non-conformances to a team lead or supervisor.Be constantly on the lookout for product quality, freshness, and accuracy concerns. Report any concerns and take appropriate action to ensure only quality products ship to customers. Efficiency & Pace
Achieve and consistently maintain the individual receiving and replenishment average per hour efficiency benchmarks and improvement targets.Strive to support the overall team performance of timely receiving and replenishment through supportive, flexible, collaborative and focused contribution.Support department initiatives by performing other related tasks as requested. Perform trailer/delivery inspection and complete paperwork for product and supply deliveries.Examine products for accuracy, freshness, quality, and vendor compliance. Document all non-compliance as required.Accurately process purchase order receipts into the AX computer system.Label, tag and prepare deliveries for put away in accordance with storage guidelines. Replenishment
Efficiently and accurately perform replenishment from back-stock storage to primary pick locationsEnsure accurate labeling of all inventories. Relocate pallets for consolidation as required.Support the order fulfillment team with restocking and relocation of supplies to the various stations. Picking/Restock
Cross-train to understand the process of picking and kitting and the interdependencies of replenishment and picking.Assist as back up for picking and/or kitting for catalogue orders and retail restock as required.
Minimum job requirements
Strong basic math skillsHigh School DiplomaBasic knowledge of Microsoft outlook, word, excel and inventory management systems.Must be 18 years or older.

Physical requirements/work environment
Physical requirements o Ability to lift and move items and packages of 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
o Ability to stand and walk for your entire shift (less breaks) and regularly bend, reach, and lift.
o Ability to pass a company required and scheduled POPE (Post offer pre-employment physical).
Work environment o Ability to remain professional, focused and calm in an occasionally noisy and fast paced environment.
o Time is spent on the receiving and storage floor with forklift equipment in operation
