Seasonal Production Generalist I

General Summary
Responsible for various production related tasks in the King Arthur Flour Merlin Manufacturing Facility. Must share King Arthur Flour’s commitment to achieving best in class food quality and safety standards. Also required to maintain consistent focus on process and procedures to achieve production efficiency targets.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Follow all established procedures adhering to food safety and safety protocols.Work with AX operating system to validate production specifications, produce finished goods, and close out productionWork with Redzone Compliance and production modules to ensure food safety SOPs are adhered to and OEE targets achievedWork as part of a team on various production linesAdhere to all safety and ergonomic processes and requirementsFill, weigh and seal bags by handCase pack finished good products (bags, jars and boxes) in packaging room, validating product lot code and case pack labeling is accurateFill line mixers with ingredients utilizing AX to validate ingredients and flour lot codesWash, sanitize, and test production equipment in compliance with established food safety protocols.Pre-label product bags by hand and by using labeling machineRepack food contact finish good by hand into labeled plastic bags and via heated shrink wrap machineComplete established inhouse food safety training and certificationsUnderstand product lot coding and labeling requirementsSome forklift use may be required

Strong commitment to food quality and safetyDisplay commitment to King Arthur Flour mission and goals.Ability to work as part of a team serving the needs of King Arthur Flour.Strong math skillsUnderstanding of and ability to work with computersBe a self-starter and able to communicate in a positive and professional manner, consistently displaying a positive attitude, adhering to company core competencies.Must be 18 years or older

Physical requirements/work environment

Physical requirements o Ability to lift 50 lbs with assistance
o Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently
o Must be able to stand all shift and regularly bend, reach, and lift.
o Must be able to occasionally stoop, climb steps, climb step ladders.
o Frequent hand washing
Work environment o Occasional dusty environment from dry ingredients
o Work with multiple food allergens

Uniform
Must wear white lab coatHair net required for all, beard nets required if you have mustache or beard when in productionLatex gloves required in production areas
