Allied Health Program Support Specialist (Restricted *)

Job description          

The Allied Health Program Support Specialist will act as the primary contact for the division and assist & support the Associate Director of Allied Health Programs across all college campuses and locations where Workforce courses are offered. This position is funded with non-continuous or non-recurring funding and is subject to continuation based on fiscal year funds and the needs of the college.
Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist and support the Associate Director of Allied Health Programs & College Career Coaches.Coordinate the day-to-day tasks associated with coursesPlace and track orders for instructional materials, resources and suppliesAssist with the management of internal and external partnerships and agreements, including contract training proposals and third-party vendor agreementsAssist the Associate Director in tracking and monitoring program expenses and revenuesOversees purchasing and travel operations for division and manages departmental budgetsAssist the Associate Director in classroom inventory managementUses and maintains proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas course management system and PeopleSoftProvides assistance and guidance to the public, students, faculty and other members of the college community in division operations and schedulingResolves or redirects student issues as appropriate
Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree in healthcare or related field or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related field or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and trainingPrevious experience in an educational or healthcare training settingExperience with Nurse Aide, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy training programsExperience working with adult learnersSeveral years experience managing various projects
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneouslyFlexibility and ability to adapt to a dynamic workplaceExcellent time management skillsExcellent customer service and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and ExcelAble to work individually as well as in a teamA self-starter and innovative thinker
