The Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (DBHDS) Nottoway Campus (PGH & VCBR) is recruiting for a Human Resources Analyst I (Employment/Recruitment Specialist), that is passionate about recruiting and providing excellent customer service for potential candidates and hiring managers. PGH is a 123 bed hospital specializing in the treatment of elderly persons (65+ years of age) who are in need of inpatient treatment for mental illness. VCBR is a facility specializing in the treatment, recovery, and therapeutic opportunities and support of individuals who have been deemed to be Sexually Violent Predators (SVPs). The Nottoway Campus is located in Nottoway County, Virginia, and is situated on 125 beautiful acres just 2 hours from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Atlantic Ocean. For Piedmont Geriatric Hospital and Virginia Center for Behavior Rehabilitation, this position provides professional H. R. support, guidance, consultation, and service in the recruitment, employment and employee relations areas. Responsibilities include: high volume full cycle recruiting; develop sourcing strategies, develop job announcements; review interview documents for compliance with established selection policy and procedures; review employment applications to determine if applicants meet qualifications; refer applicants for interviews; conducting applicant telephone screens, assisting and/or conducting employment interviews; reference checks; assist with starting pay compensation/classification determinations; attend job fairs, process new-hire paperwork; maintain accurate recruit files; assist with a wide range of activities related to employee/labor relations and staffing functions; the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced work environment; and strong organizational and change management skills applied to workforce issues.
Minimum Qualifications Direct experience utilizing employment practices/recruitment and employee relations processes is required A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Preferred Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is preferred Experience working in large, and complex public entity with diverse employee populations is preferred Extensive experience in full life-cycle recruitment and employment practices, to include: sourcing strategy, and strategic staffing for difficult to fill positions is preferred
