Duties Summary About the Position: HQ IMCOM is located in beautiful and historic San Antonio and is within easy commuting distance of desirable neighborhoods and excellent school systems. San Antonio offers mild winters, low cost of living, and no personal state income tax. Ft Sam Civilians enjoy use of post rec facilities i.e. fitness centers, golf course, bowling alley, outdoor rec areas, auto craft shop, equestrian center, and on Post Dining Facilities.
Responsibilities Monitor, develop, program as a functional real property authority, and executes projects for acquisitions, out-granting, in-granting, utilization, contract scopes of work, disposal and contract interface actions. Keep supervisor informed as well as advising and briefing key organization staff elements as well as the command group of the actions/requirements involving real property issues. Serves as a organization realty technical authority for mineral out-granting of oil and gas rights on ammo plants. Serves as a senior realty authority on all real estate and real property matters to include environmental integration. Develops in cooperation with a team of realty specialists/ team leader the policies and procedures pertaining to the real estate program. Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Understanding of real estate principles, policies and methods related to a broad spectrum of realty issues covering the three major areas of acquisition, management and/or disposal. Works with public reutilization committees on planning and execution of installation utilization in an excess posture. Address the complex issues dealing with out granting and disposal of real estate as it relates to environmental restoration.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
