Overview Job Summary
Drive improved colleague performance and organizational effectiveness through the creation, coordination, and implementation of work instructions, job aids, and other resources while ensuring that all information is well written and complies with Company, vendor, client, and regulatory policies and procedures. Obtain and present specialized information within strict accuracy and format requirements and in a concise and easy-to-read manner for the end-user. Create and modify documents in support of various projects including: work instructions, job aids, user guides, manuals, presentations, workbooks, web-based content, and other materials generated by the organization. Ensure document control process and management specifications are in place and adhered to.
Responsibilities Develop and communicate work instructions, job aids, processes, reference and maintenance manuals, training materials, online documentation, and multimedia presentations. Ensure approved documentation procedures are followed in compliance with company, department, and government regulations. Study data and conduct in-depth interviews with subject matter experts and internal teams to understand the process, product, or procedure and provide analysis based on the needs of the target audience and the documentation requirements. Manage the process, integrity, and availability of content to colleagues and on the Company online platforms. Manage the communication and dissemination of the documents produced, including creating and editing online tools and web pages on the Company intranet. Edit, standardize, or revise material prepared by other writers or colleagues. Establish policies and procedures for the development and implementation of the document control processes and provide expertise in controlled document management. Create documentation methodology and framework, and maintain the information architecture to index and cross-reference documents. Maintain a historical record of how, why, and when the steps in a process are modified and when a document must be revised. Maintain a process for the review, revision, approval, distribution and maintenance of electronic and hard copy documents for change control. Assist with developing and maintaining training processes and solutions to improve colleague capability. Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide related reports and recommendations.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required 2-4 years in technical writing or related field required Demonstrated technical documentation skills supporting online delivery and paper-based training. A track record that demonstrates a high level of technical and grammatical competency, as well as successful technical writing, instructional design, project management, design aesthetic, and implementation. Exceptional oral and written communications skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources. Demonstrated project management skill and ability to manage multiple priorities is required. Expert skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience in a health-care related field desired, but not required.
