Assists in analyzing and researching IT-based solutions for a business function or technology areas that are projected to deliver significant business value and where they may require a change to ITG infrastructure, IT strategy, current business/clinical processes or present significant technical or operational risk. Works with other analysts and team members to elicit and ensure requirements, functional designs, and issues are addressed and meet business needs. Provides recognized business and technical domain knowledge, coupled with subject matter expertise in analyzing and collaborating on IT solutions in combination with business functions.
Provides research functions, as directed by leadership, based upon requests from various stakeholders inside ITG as well as key business leaders. Gathers technical documentation and reference material while leveraging external and internal resources to deliver a comprehensive view of a technical focus area, while collaborating with architects to ensure ITG alignment. Meets with vendors and partners on a routine basis, to better understand roadmaps and direction as an aid in identifying potential areas of opportunity.
The candidate will be involved in:
Facilitate meetings with business and ITG stakeholders to define needs and requirements for new or existing technology and products
Provide documentation on specific needs, requirements and capabilities focused on a specific business or IT function
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, opportunities, risks and dependencies for a technology
Manage communication with stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of the solution requirements
Assist Enterprise Architects in documenting and communicating technical direction and strategies
Assist in defining and documenting technical roadmaps mapped to business capabilities
Assist in managing the Enterprise Architecture for the organization
Present prepared materials to various levels of the organization that supports the position of the Chief Technologist
Collaborate with various stakeholders in the organization to understand their business needs and technology barriers
Provide supporting research of new technologies for potential use with the delivery of healthcare
Maintain knowledge on current and emerging technology trends both consumer and business oriented
Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Role & Responsibilities
Serve as lead analyst/technologist focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) and accompanied technologies
Responsible for documenting and maintaining standards and best practices for the use and adoption of IoT
Identify and proof emerging technologies at the direction of leadership
Assist with foundational analysis and research that supports the strategies of Enterprise Technology & Architecture
Assist the department in educating the organization on emerging technology and maturing technology that can enable the business near-term
Provide guidance on emerging technology and opportunities for adoption

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
1 or more years
Other preferred/required experience:
Experience with RTLS and IoT technologies
Bachelor’s Degree - Required
Technical understanding of RTLS, high-level architectural best practices, and Cloud computing
Basic understanding of network protocols, sensors and connected devices
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to communicate complex concepts
Strong presentation skills
Must exhibit a strong attention to detail coupled with an ability to multi-task
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Some travel may be required but generally less than 10%
Typical work week hours can vary depending on workload and project deliverables.
