The Production Associate is responsible for all operations, set ups, adjustments on his/her equipment, and general labor on the production line. Duties include, but are not limited to: Operating process machinery and equipment; portioning ingredients; prepping pans and trays; hand-scaling ingredients; washing dishes; making boxes; stacking pallets; cleaning and sanitation; effective and respectful communication with team members. This is a fast-paced food production environment with hourly and daily goals that must be met.
This is a first-shift position, starting at 6 a.m. and is generally a 10-hour shift (sometimes more, sometimes less). Successful candidates for the position will have the ability to work Monday through Saturday and overtime. Weekend work is required as-needed, especially during peak season (October-December) and other high-volume periods. Number of days worked in a week does fluctuate throughout the year. While we can't guarantee 40 hour weeks every week, on average our team works at least 40 hours a week.
Part-time positions are 2-3 days a week (generally 10-hour shifts - sometimes more, sometimes less); days of week vary depending on need of the company, so flexibility is required (Monday-Friday primarily; Monday-Saturday during peak season).
The position requires an employee to perform essential functions of the job, including but not limited to the following duties:
Prep trays and pans, scale crust, portion ingredients, move racks of product, remove product from pans, make boxes, pack product into boxes, tape cases, stack cases.
Follow all food safety guidelines and hygiene practices.
Operate the production and packaging equipment in a safe and timely manner.
Inspect product at all stages to ensure customer requirements are met.
Participate in equipment and area cleaning in a safe and timely manner.
Regular dish washing, equipment cleaning, and facility cleaning duties.
Washing dishes and equipment in dish area. (Each Production Associate is assigned one full shift in dish on a rotating basis; all production employees help wash dishes daily during closing time.)
Moving racks of finished product throughout the facility.
Locate and retrieve raw materials and packaging.
Participate in operator-based machine maintenance and care.
Participate in training programs.
Follow all personnel safety procedures.
Safely use and dispose of cleaning agents and chemicals.
The position requires that an employee be capable of the following:
Meet schedule requirements (see above).
Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background screening.
Work closely with others in a team atmosphere.
Physical Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To (all times are approximate):
Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including prolonged standing, bending, stooping, squating, twisting, reaching, pushing and repetitive hand/wrist movement often throughout shift (8-10 hours).
Required to be exposed to physical environment most of the work day, which involves but is not limited to: food debris, odors, constant equipment noise, temperature extremes, wet areas / water, or similar elements.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs on a regular basis and up to 50lbs on an occasional basis throughout shift (8-10 hours).

$13.25 starting pay
$250 sign-on bonus after 90 days with excellent attendance
