The Audit Practices Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the Internal Audit Department in respect to how work is conducted – the practice of internal audit. This responsibility includes maintaining and communicating staff scheduling for audit projects, developing and overseeing a quality assurance program of completed audits, compiling and reviewing data and statistics to provide transparency to audit leadership as well as the Audit Committee, as well as monitoring activities and initiatives that relate to or may impact the work of the Department.
Maintains and communicates staff schedules and availability in relation to Internal Audit Projects and deadlines.
Compiles and ensures accuracy of quarterly Enterprise Executive Risk Committee and Audit Committee reports as well as Internal Audit metric reporting.
Develops sample size methodology, testing plans and selects samples of completed audits for Quality Assurance reviews.
Provides oversight and approval of Quality Assurance reviews performed over completed audits.
Analyzes and ensures accuracy of regulator requests prior to submission and oversees status and implementation of regulator recommendations.
Manages the Company’s anonymous hotline.
Works across the organization to support internal investigations by performing research, analysis and reporting to conclude on the root cause and trends.
Monitors and analyzes Company initiatives for inclusion in Audits.
Provides secondary review of Internal Audit Issue Management business closure requests and identifies Internal Audit Issue Management items to be escalated to the Executive Committee.
Provides assistance in the development and continuous monitoring of Internal Audit Key Risk Indicators.
Reviews and analyzes documented risk acceptances within the Company while providing credible challenge.
Performs oversight of Internal Audit’s Third-Party Service Providers.
Manages and analyzes the budget forecast through collaboration with audit leadership and Finance.
Reviews Internal Audit policies, procedures and charters prior to submission to Audit Leadership.
Reviews all Company policies prior to finalization for reasonableness.
Trains new employees on audit specific content.
Performs other duties as assigned as this is a newly created role.
Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or the like required.
4 years of financial industry audit experience required.
Strong understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors Standards.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with internal audit activities.
Working toward or achievement of audit related certifications (CIA, CBA, CPA, and/or CISA).

This position is largely self-directed, and requires a thorough understanding of company policy, procedures and values. Team members are always required to adhere to safety requirements in all work environments.
The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
Lifting requirement – Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
