HR Generalist

Virgin Pulse is seeking a HR generalist to join our team! Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist performs a variety of HR duties in support of the overall goals and objectives of the HR Department. Is responsible to be a resource on human resource matters, providing guidance, assistance and support to employees and management. Daily job duties can range from consulting with managers and supervisors to being an employee advocate. The position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance. What your day looks like. General HR administrative responsibilities, including: employee correspondence, generating monthly/ annual reports, HR analytics, training etc. Processing HR documentation and accurate records maintenance and filing Participating in developing department goals, objectives and systems Help maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Assist with HR project management, coordinating activities, obtaining resources, contacting vendors, and/or processing invoices/contracts. Assist with interview scheduling as needed using multiple user calendars in Outlook 365. Maintain HR project records and confidential employee files, recommending and/or revising file maintenance systems and procedures. Generating HR reports, tracking project status and providing updates to management as necessary. Provide coordination and support for HR team in specific projects as required; responsibilities will include project and audit participation, performing data entry, information gathering, coordinating meetings, etc. Help support positive communication with employees, clients, and vendors, responding or coordinating response to HR requests as necessary. Welcome guests, visitors and interviewee candidates to office when recruiters or office manager are unable to. Make sure they feel welcome, introducing them to hosts as well as situating them in rooms as needed with refreshments. Participate in company functions, helping to set up when needed, as well as participation in planning. Supporting team member for distribution of company gifts, handouts and other items when HR is tasked with doing so in support of company initiatives. Filing, printing, organizing and other administrative duties as required and assigned. May lend some typical administrative support if needed. What you bring to the team. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Formal training in Human Resources (i.e. SHRM, HRCI, etc.) 1-3-years’ experience in human resources support in a generalist or coordinator role. (I9’s, HR metrics, document retention, scheduling of interviews, etc.) Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities and good time management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Ability to work in a multiple location HR team. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and know where to look to find answers when needed. Exceptional organizational, administrative and self-management abilities Detail-oriented and ability to complete tasks quickly and effectively. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficient at picking up new software applications as needed.
