About the Role
To meet the growing demand for our services, Cadmus is hiring a senior consultant to lead the market research team as part of its Program and Market Analysis group. The market research team focuses on designing and implementing applied consumer and behavioral research projects that help our energy sector clients design compelling products and programs and maximize customer engagement and customer experience.
The successful candidate for this position must have a proven business development record, strong client relationships, and a demonstrated ability to design and execute innovative research and analytical approaches to addressing client research questions. We are looking for a dynamic and creative professional with a proven ability to develop new business, craft winning proposals, manage complex market research projects in a way that ensures client satisfaction, coach and develop junior consultants.
Cadmus’ Energy Services Division provides advanced analytic and strategic consulting services to the utilities industry, government agencies, and non-profit organizations engaged in energy and environmental policy. We have a multidisciplinary staff of 160 professionals with expertise in engineering, economics, market research, statistics and social and behavioral sciences, providing comprehensive services to our clients in areas of energy and natural resource sustainability.
Develop and lead Cadmus’ market research team.
Develop and execute business development plan; deliver against annual sales and revenue targets.
Build and maintain client relationships.
Lead winning proposal development efforts.
Collaborate with other Cadmus teams to identify solution-oriented market research opportunities with existing clients
Provide technical thought leadership for the market research practice area.
Recruit, coach, and mentor staff.
Help build Cadmus’ reputation through publication and conference presentations.
10+ years of market research experience, with at least 5+ years consulting experience and 3+ years utilities industry experience.
Advanced degree in social sciences, marketing, market research, statistics, mathematics or other relevant field.
5+ years direct supervisory experience.
Demonstrated expertise applying the market research analytical techniques to help clients achieve business goals; strong background in quantitative research methods, as well as knowledge of cutting edge digital and qualitative techniques
Record of success developing new business.
Strong existing client relationships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to turn data and analysis into actionable insights.
Demonstrated expertise in survey design and application of qualitative and quantitative market research analytical techniques.
Experience with a variety of primary data collection methods in the consumer and utility markets, analytic, and data visualization software tools
Record of publication, presentations, and/or thought leadership activities.
Desire to work in a collegial and collaborative, but fast-paced and dynamic, environment.
Able to travel occasionally.
