Being an Residential Recreation Specialist has its advantages
As an Residential Recreation Specialist at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer: Paid 2 to 3 week orientation. Over 5 weeks of paid time off your first year. Tuition assistance after 6 months of working full time - up to 12 credits per year! A rewarding experience helping individuals complete daily activities and achieving long term goals.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our main campus in Red Hook, Dutchess County, NY, this position is responsible for overseeing campus activities and special events, coordinating campus wide recreational events and insures implementation of recreational programming. You will coordinate and attend special events both on and off campus, attend assigned committees (on and off site), work with and support SWAG’s mission and goals and develop and increase Recreational opportunities both on and off campus. You'll also be one of our Special Olympic coaches!
Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates's degree preferred. Experience: Two years of experience in a similar setting. Recreation experience preferred. Company Overview About Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health
