Under direction of the Applications Manager, the Application Analyst II is a senior specialist in their respective Epic Application(s) and supports core functions of the health system’s processes. Responsible for Epic software analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation as well as application support and issue resolution. Interacts with Operational and IT personnel in identifying, evaluating and configuring systems to meet user and organizational requirements. Maintains high credibility and ownership of system activities within assigned application. Analyst II works independently and successfully engages simultaneously in multiple activities, including cross-functional application initiatives, and provides input on system design and capabilities.
Works closely with Team Lead or Manager on researching, planning, building, testing and implementing approved projects.
Partners with Team Lead or Manager to oversee the delivery of solutions and appropriately escalates risks and issues.
Performs data analysis to include the use of Epic or other technical tools in order to extract requirements, identify data inaccuracies, and ensure accurate processing and reporting with minimal to no supervision.
Develops system design, including functional specifications and strategies, based upon the analysis of specific operational needs.
Analyze operational requirements and system capabilities to propose effective solutions.
Understand workflow practices and how to apply to system configuration in support of Operational/IT strategies, issues, and priorities.
Performs unit, system, and integration testing per standards and documents outcomes.
Work with Application Team to ensure applications are well supported and implementations are properly executed.
Follow defined standards and promote best practice principles.
Optimizes, maintains and supports application/system as required.
Participates effectively as a team member to achieve team goals and objectives.
Participate in change control processes.
Provides on-call support, troubleshoots and resolves production support issues. Initiates escalation procedures. Identify potential issues and refer more complex issues to appropriate level of support.
Serves as primary mentor for Analyst I, providing technical guidance and oversight, and acting as a point of escalation.
Builds rapport and promotes team work by maintaining a professional and positive attitude at all times, working to maintain open and professional lines of communication with all end users and colleagues, and utilizing key change management principles.
Attend team and department meetings.
Meet application deliverables and project timelines.
Weekly status reporting.
Timely project and data tracking with input of weekly time tracking.
Performs other related duties assigned by supervisor. In an emergency, performs other duties necessary for the welfare of patients or the efficient operations of the institution.
Bachelor’s degree in education, healthcare or information technology related field preferred; (will consider equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
Minimum three (3) years' applicable skills as Epic Analyst preferred.
Previous experience mentoring team members preferred.

Certification in one or more assigned Epic Applications preferred.
Must successfully complete Epic certification within 90 days post last class according to assigned training track(s).
Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, sitting, walking throughout the working day.
Position will be required to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
