This opportunity is to lead a team of accomplished Business Systems Analysts in Group Protection IT, aligned to Policy Administration, Dental Program and Data work efforts across multiple locations. Managers of Business Systems Analysts enable their team members to successfully deliver complex technology solutions to our business through coaching, development of analysis skills, setting clear objectives, measuring performance, and removing impediments. Managers will collaborate with leaders from aligned IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure their teams meet their business needs and technical objectives in their areas of responsibility.
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Manages and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Establishes and implements individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure completion of responsibility for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
Manages and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Serves as a resource to team members and internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Manages assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure workloads are appropriately balanced among team members.

Consults and acts as a resource to appropriate internal stakeholders to assess, select and deliver more complex technical solutions which meet business requirements and/or which integrates process, business rules and business data with technology.
Collaborates with appropriate internal stakeholder to assess, select and recommends more complex technical approaches/solutions which will achieve business goals.
Collaborates effectively with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders on more complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects and develops mitigation plans.
Determines and recommends the most appropriate technical response to identified more complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritization.
Manages and responds to escalation/conflict issues through to resolution.
Validates that technical solution meets business needs by ensuring the development of more complex acceptance criteria and a plan to evaluate.
Participates in the planning/estimating of projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Develops and/or manages budget/expenses for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
5+ Years’ experience in business systems analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 2+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience (Required)
Experience as a Business Analysis in an Agile Environment is a plus
