Hotel Custodian

Job description          

Overview The Hotel Custodian is responsible for performing maintenance work in and around the Hotel. Responsibilities Light painting and repair of walls and other interior equipment as needed including replacement of ceiling tiles. Change light bulbs (indoor and outdoor) as needed. Cleaning and repairs in general. Oversee proper cleaning from unexpected incidents, (i.e. water heater leak). Fix plumbing in restrooms. Move items for cleaning. Report major problems to your immediate supervisor for repair. Upkeep, maintenance and trimming of landscaping surrounding the buildings. Light shoveling and salting during winter season. Keep the entire lot and perimeter, clean and free of litter. Spot clean carpets as needed. Empty trash containers inside the building and around the perimeter of the lot. Providing friendly and competent customer service. Reporting for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
Additional Job Duties: Assisting in other duties, as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed): One to three years Maintenance experience required.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have mechanical and electrical experience. Must be knowledgeable about safety and take precautions as necessary. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Current valid driver's license and be insurable to drive. Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service. Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand and walk; sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
