Field Sales Representative

L.B. Foster's wholly owned subsidiary, Inspection Oilfield Services (IOS), provides inspection and tubular integrity management services for the upstream oil and gas industry. Services include non-destructive testing, inspection, and other asset integrity services such as repair and threading for OCTG and drill tools. Inspection and testing of these products, which include replaceable and reusable products such as casing, production tubing, drill pipe, directional motors, drill collars, and related equipment, is a critical preventative measure to ensure personnel and well-site safety, enhance efficiency, and avoid costly equipment failures and well-site shutdowns. We are currently looking for a Field Sales Representative for the Rocky Mountain region. Responsibilities: Develop and implement market strategies to grow the IOS business to optimum profitability and capacity levels at all locations to include any new facilities. Works with key company contacts in the industry such as: Company men, drilling and completion engineers, purchasing agents, production management to determine their upcoming needs and potential business opportunities for IOS. Provide customer quotes on Drill Pipe, Tubing, Casing, Services and Accessories. Consistently conducting sales calls at the rig site. Required to travel to rig site location on a daily basis. Develops monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts for each facility and updates monthly. Develops standardized pricing structures that optimize gross margins while remaining competitive in the marketplace. Develop and maintain a database of present industry accounts, potential new accounts, inquiry quotations, sales history and other relevant information. Works with finance on invoicing, credit or other issues Makes presentations to existing and potential customers to showcase IOS capabilities Manage customer relationships with open communication regarding the customer’s needs, proactively anticipates customer’s needs and customer concerns. Responsible for the complete sales order process from ordering to completion. Process includes: scheduling, pricing, and review of completed orders. Develops pricing analysis and cost benefits comparison to competitors. Develops forecasts and conducts market studies as required. This position is critical to company quality and productivity, including ensuring excellent working relationships between operation and sales, sales and customers, and customers and sales. Strong organizational work habits, good judgment, excellent communication skills, and follow-thorough on time-sensitive activities are critical to ensure a quality product, customer satisfaction, customer retention, and company performance Requirements Bachelor’s Degree preferred 5-10 years sales or operational experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills Ability to foster good working relationships with internal and external customers Willingness to travel in assigned geographic area Ability to work in a multi-task, high paced environment Experience in OCTG services and or sales with a solid understanding of Distributors and Mills is preferred Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively. Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to work safely and effectively in a machine shop, office and plant environment. Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation, to maneuver within a machine shop, office and plant environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
