Under the direction of the Branch Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and management of the Active Older Adults Program.
Develop, coordinate, administer and participate structured programming and events for the Active Older Adult program which promote health and socialization.
Coordinate with volunteers serving the Active Older Adult programs.
Create additional connection points to our current members, driving an increase in branch retention rates as well as an increase in percentage of high users.
Maintain the all-purpose, Active Older Adult, and other assigned areas within the Quality Standards set by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. Proactively report maintenance needs to Facilities.
Work with Aquatics, Wellness and any other departments that are necessary to develop the Active Older Adult programs.
Develop and provide leadership for the Active Older Adult committee.
Assist in the Annual Community Outreach Campaign, as directed.
Participate in Active Older Adult Program Management Team meetings.
Coordinate and develop brochures and other marketing efforts for the assigned areas of responsibilities, under the guidance and partnership with the Marketing Department.
Represent the YMCA and maintain appropriate relationships with area organizations, community leaders and businesses.
Assist in the creation of annual budgets in assigned areas, and manage budgets within established guidelines.
Support the connection plan at the branch by getting members connected and committed to the YMCA.
Coordinate with the registrar team to collect all fees owed.

EDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree in Health related field, preferred.
1-2 years experience working with Active Adult populations.
YMCA Working with Active Older Adults certification within 6 months of hire.
Computer literacy; ability to learn Microsoft Office and organization specific applications.
Superior supervisory and conflict resolution skills.
