Assistant Residency Coordinator | Underserved Track

The Assistant Residency Coordinator-Underserved Track is responsible for coordinating all program related activities and initiatives associated with rural track family medicine residency expansion and continuity of programs. This position will be responsible for resolving programmatical problems by analyzing information, identifying, and communicating solutions; maintaining program documents, files, trackers, and associated paper and electronic files; being present at each family medicine underserved residency site to interface with residency and preceptors and help with clinical site organization; serve as the underserved track recruitment liaison; and develop quality improvement curriculum. This position will also be responsible for scheduling and reporting for the underserved residency program, including maintaining underserved residents? calendars within Outlook and Lightning Bolt; maintaining, managing, and organizing residency records in MedHub, the internet-based program for residency tracking; and collecting data as needed for the Family Medicine Residency Program Manager. This role will also provide administrative support for associated residency faculty and program directors. Departmental Program Support: ? Answer program related questions and requests by providing timely information and or outlining action steps for resolution ? Maintain program documents, files, trackers, and associated paper and electronic files ? Maintain underserved track resident schedules under the oversight of Program Manager ? Be present at Siler City Community Health Center and Prospect Hill Community Health Center to interface with residents and preceptors and help with clinical site organization ? Underserved Track recruitment liaison-this person will be available for each interview date to lead tours of the respective underserved sites and interact with the applicants ? Act as the point person for Wednesday conference session that are directed to the track residents (all Piedmont Health Services (PHS) meetings) ? Continue to work to develop Underserved Track Quality Improvement (QI) curriculum and ensuring residents are receiving all information for continued QI projects Scheduling and Reporting: ? Maintain underserved track residents? Outlook and Lightning Bolt calendars ? Work with the Lead Physicians at PHS to ensure the correct number of preceptors for residents ? Manage track resident elective clinics and experiences ? Maintain, manage, and organize resident records in internet-based program for residency tracking ? Collect data as needed for Program Manager for monthly visit reports and annual ACGME reports Faculty Support: ? Answer questions and requests by providing timely information and or outlining action steps for resolution ? Resolve administrative problems by analyzing information, identifying and communicating solutions ? Provide support for faculty members? course(s), program(s), and project(s) ? Provide calendaring and scheduling support to associated faculty and program directors ? Provide administrative support for various meetings as indicated by faculty or program manager Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
