Executive Assistant

Job description          

This Executive Assistant position within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research provides comprehensive professional support for two Associate Vice Chancellor?s for Research (AVCR). The duties include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, booking travel, ordering supplies, paying invoices, event planning, and general administrative tasks. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience;or Associate?s degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor?s degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Exceptional professional interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products especially Outlook (email and calendaring), Word and Excel. Ability to organize, prioritize, triage and otherwise manage workflows in a fast-paced office setting, often dealing with sensitive and critical issues. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task and foster relationships with clients and customers at varying levels internal and external to the University.
