Salary Grade: GN09 Salary Range: $36,677 - $62,092
This position is located at Central Prison, Raleigh,NC, Wake County. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, deliver, implement and coordinate the training activities for all employees assigned to Central Prison and Central Prison Healthcare Complex. This includes but is not limited to reviewing all Requests for Training and Applications for Educational Assistance, reviewing, scheduling, coordinating, and conducting mandatory annual in-service training for certified and non-certified staff which is required by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission. Assisting with the scheduling of Correctional Officer Basic Training for all new employees who are required by their job classification to attend this training. Responsible for conducting the Annual Recertification Training for assigned Certified, General and Specialized Instructors. Reviewing, scheduling, coordinating and conducting New Hire Orientation. Documented proficiency in Microsoft Suite Documented ability to use computer for data entry Documented composition and communication skills (written and oral) Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in a human services or training related field, and two years of experience directly related to training in the subject matter or specialty areas; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and five years of experience directly related to training in the specialty area; or, an equivalent combination of training and experience.
