It all begins with you. Data Management and Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers’ financial needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: DMI Data Strategy - Risk and Regulatory team – This position will provide Data Strategy leadership to the Enterprise for Risk and Regulatory data and its associated alignment activities to the Enterprise Data Management Strategy. As such, the position will have a unique view into where DMI is leading the company from a Risk & Regulatory Data perspective, understanding where we are today in our data maturity assessments, defining the gaps, and creating a Roadmap to address the gaps. This unique view will enable effective management and accelerated implementation of the Risk Data portfolio. Position Description Reporting to the Risk and Regulatory Data Strategy Leader, the Risk Data Strategy Team Leader will manage and evolve the Risk Data Strategy for the company. This leader will: Establish data alignment to the Enterprise Data Management Strategy by setting the Enterprise Non-Financial Risk direction for WF/DMI using industry knowledge and best practices for the following: Operational Risk Compliance Risk Conduct Management Consent Order Program Office Strategic Enterprise Risk Rebuilding Trust Office Enterprise Data Management Strategy – Sustainment and refresh owner for applicable Risk and Regulatory Data sections Data Ecosystem Project alignment to the Enterprise Data Strategy Partner with DMI teams to translate strategy into implementation plans including external to DMI partners Industry Relations – Advance Data Management Strategy As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will: Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks
Required Qualifications
7+ years of strategic planning experience 3+ years of management experience 3+ years of experience with end-to-end design and delivery of data warehouse applications 3+ years of experience with data governance and management practices 3+ years of operational risk, conduct risk or compliance domain experience 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of BCBS-239 principles
Other Desired Qualifications
Demonstrate the leadership in the creation of a Data Strategy Deep knowledge in one or more Enterprise Risk functions (Operational Risk, Conduct Risk, etc.) Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to executive management (presentation format) Strong command of Wells Fargo Enterprise Data Strategy (Data Lake) Working experience creating strategic plans for enterprise wide business initiatives (portfolio level planning/execution) Working experience in data management disciplines including data governance, data quality, analytics and BI, and data architecture Drive planning and implementation of approach/plan end-to-end while ensuring operational excellence and process efficiency Experience driving data management at multiple financial services organizations
