IF so, this Environmental Health & Safety Manager role could be an ideal opportunity to explore. As an EHS Specialist, you will provide specialized consultative services for environmental, health and safety issues of concern to the line organizations at the GSK Vaccines—Hamilton site. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following… Provide day-to-day direct support to regional environmental manager to ensure reports, audits, permits and other site functions are effectively completed to ensure full environmental compliance of the site(s). Develop and assist in the writing of or enhancement of site Safety and Environmental Standard Operating Procedures. Research, draft and prepare local policies and procedures for compliance with GSK EHS Standards Gather and collect data related to EHS objectives, metrics and targets that reflect local needs and are aligned with GSK and legal expectations. Proactively identify and support actions necessary to ensure these are achieved. Co-ordinate Management Monitoring and Independent Business Monitoring Audit programs to assess compliance with legal and GSK requirements and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop / Give Training to comply with GSK, OSHA and EPA requirements. Provide coaching on EHS risks and programs. Champion a strong Safety culture across the site and maximize personnel involvement in EHS related activities. Conduct and document Work Place Risk assessments/ Job Safety Analysis, action plans and implementation of related corrective measures. Provide oversight and technical support for non-routine onsite activities such as confined space entries, working at height and construction Ensure that necessary EHS information is reported to local regulators and to stakeholders within GSK Provide technical expertise to line organizations in the completion of EHS incident reports and investigations Prepare local policies and procedures for compliance with GSK EHS Standards Conduct investigations into serious adverse events. Environment Health & Safety: Develop and deploy EHS training programs; Advise line management and employees regarding compliance with regulatory and GSK EHS requirements; Gather and report on EHS performance metrics. Quality & Compliance: Must comply with applicable cGMPs and site policies and procedures. Continuous Improvement: Provide efficient and cost-effective solutions. Assist line management in identifying ways to simplify and improve compliance with EHS policies and procedures. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor’s of Science 3-5 years’ experience working in EHS full-time in a pharmaceutical or other industrial setting Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Post Graduate Degree Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with continuous improvement initiatives Demonstrated ability to work effectively in line and matrix teams Experience working in positions requiring strong customer focus Why GSK?
