Tractor Tech Associate

Job description          

Responsible for performing A, B, and or Annual Inspections. Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs without supervision with a high degree of attention to detail. Essential Functions: Safely perform maintenance in accordance to required departmental processes, procedures, and documentation. Safely complete necessary preventive maintenance or repairs in an acceptable period to meet equipment schedule needs without supervision. Safely use any required shop or testing equipment to perform assigned job. Safely perform general repairs with some supervision and perform preventive maintenance without supervision. Assist in determining if repairs require outside vendor maintenance. Possess any necessary safety equipment required to safely perform assigned jobs The following requirements are also essential and expected of all employees: Consistently maintains a professional demeanor and communicates in a respectful and collaborative manner with coworkers, managers and others in the workplace. Scope and Accountability:
Completes tasks by following pre-established procedures; applies basic technical and procedural knowledge; some formal training or experience is required to perform the job effectively; follows detailed and defined instructions and applies judgment to solve problems.
Knowledge and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Possess Air Brake certification. Possess Power Industrial Truck certification. Basic working knowledge of all mechanical systems on class-8 vehicles Skills and Competencies:

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds over their head. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The duties of this job are performed in both an office environment and a light industrial environment, thereby experiencing some minor to moderate level of noise due to office equipment and industrial equipment.
