Parts Counter Representative II

JOB SUMMARY: Sells industry related parts over the counter, phone, email or in person while providing superior customer service to all customers.

RFC employs 360 people in 22 locations, and includes Rihm Kenworth, a Kenworth truck dealer; RMC Truck Parts, a parts sales company; Rihm Leasing, a truck rental, financing and leasing company; and Rihm Global Sales, which handles international truck and parts sales. Founded in 1932 under the name Rihm Motor Company, Inc., Rihm Kenworth is the second-oldest continually operated Kenworth dealer in the world. Rihm is a growth-oriented company, focused on doing the right thing always, while providing exceptional service with fairness to all stakeholders. Qualifications ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists internal and external customers in obtaining required parts in a friendly, professional manner Providing accurate and timely price quotes and other parts-related information to customers Makes outbound sales calls as required Responsible for developing and growing accounts as assigned Up-sell customers with related parts Issues credit for returned goods Makes informed decisions regarding credit assuring to comply with credit guidelines provided by company Pulls orders for customers and helps load parts into vehicles Inventory responsibility to include cycle counts, out-of-stock notifications to management, out-of-stock materials locating and ordering when needed, assigned out-of-stock replenishment, back-ordered and will-call parts follow-up Maintains accurate records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special order parts Coordinates and processes orders for shipment, delivery or pick-up Participates in all training programs that are made available and keeps current on new products and product updates Reviews open-order reports and closes/voids invoices within 60 days Stays connected to other employees and customers through the use of email, voicemail as well as other forms of communication Inspects cores and processes monthly returns to vendors Demonstrate competency in parts learning system through participation in the e-learning product knowledge modules from PACCAR, Cummins and other parts knowledge systems Other duties to meet business needs
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: 12 months plus truck parts experience
KEY ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / CHARACTERISTICS: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills Organized Effective at multi-tasking
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED Truck dealership experience
