PaR Systems is a world leader in the design and development cutting edge software, automation and control systems for Aerospace, Life Science, and Marine markets. We are seeking a Financial Systems Business Analyst (BA) to support the finance organization. Main duties include supporting finance's use of the enterprise resource planning system and consolidation and reporting tools. This person will be tasked with using technology to improve the processes within Finance. This person will identify business requirements and evaluate off the shelf tools or support the development of custom tools. This person reports to the CIO.
Responsible for the financial consolidation tool, Cognos, and end user support of the tool.
Responsible for the financial functions within the ERP tool, Jobscope.
Analyze business processes and recommend best practices, including providing conceptual and detailed usage instructions.
Participate in guru team tasks including conducting prototypes process improvement, developing functional specifications to extend Jobscope usage for finance functions.
Work with the business to perform integration testing to insure that new functionality and enhancements do not adversely affect other functionality for financial systems.
Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering both required business function and long-term sustainability and scalability of solution.
Conduct impact analysis to identify and resolve potential cross-functional issues. Establish and maintain a close working relationship with business partners.
Provide Crystal Reports and Cognos development and support for finance.
Provide support/training to PaR organizations end users.
Monitor and update Segregation of Duties user matrix; review changes with Controller to ensure appropriate segregation is maintained and/or compensating controls are in place as needed.
Develop, monitor and update as needed list of individuals responsible for maintaining master data and configuration tables in JobScope. Ensure maintenance is performed as needed.

Qualified applicants will have:
BA in Accounting with minimum of 5 years direct experience implementing and supporting business processes within an ERP business system.
Understanding of business processes and experience with a commercial ERP business system, understanding general configuration tasks and implications of settings.
Understanding of accounting principles to include general ledger, balance sheet, cost accounting and project accounting.
Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of general database concepts
Strong written and verbal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with sufficient ability to appropriately and effectively communicate across all levels and functions within the organization.
Ability to convert business needs into technical requirements.
Good organizational and prioritizing skills. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Works independently and able to contribute to the overall success of a team.
