Maintain operation of the Coffee Shop in the Manager’s absence and provide additional support as outlined below. Greets each guest that enters the store within 15 seconds with a verbal or non-verbal greeting, smile and eye contact. Proactively engages the guest in conversation Seeks opportunities to educate and suggestively sell Executes all company initiatives Be self-directed and independent Ability to interact with the volunteers in a patient and professional manner Be flexible in work schedule to meet the demands of a busy retail environment Demonstrate all qualities of Service Excellence Have a strong ability for attention to detail Thank each guest Welcome questions and educate the guests Keep guest areas clean PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Print daily credit card and payroll deduction transactions Assist in the deposit of cash from daily sales Direct guest to pick up area Pour drip Brew Make espresso drinks, smoothies and coolers, deliver drinks in less than 3 minutes, interact with each guest, and keep store clean Operate Espresso machine Know guest’s name and drink preference Batch like drinks together Make all drinks according to operation formula’s Serve beverages that look attractive, no spills or overflowing whip cream. Package bulk beans Refill cocoa/cooler mix/whip Maintain adequate supplies for the shop including: register tape, paper bags, tissue and other supplies needed for daily operation Re-stock merchandise as necessary in the selling areas Receive delivery of merchandise to the storage room from the dock Verify and reconcile merchandise received with the vendor-packing list Unpack merchandise and record the UPC on the packing list Record and report any damaged merchandise to the manufacturer in the appropriate time frame Perform other related duties as required Complete all side-jobs and checklists
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma Restaurant, retail or guest service experience
