Job Summary The Processing Team Leader oversees the day to day operations of a team of Loan Processors. The Team Leader will assess work quality of Processing team, balance work amongst team, and work with Loan Originators to successfully and efficiently get loans to clear and close. Major Responsibilities/Activities Work closely with Processors and Originators to ensure loan application and submission process is smooth and efficient. Identify opportunities for efficiencies and implement changes. Communicate with Operations and Senior Leadership on loan pipeline and process. Identify timelines and flow through capacity. Monitors and manages employee time and attendance and vacation requests. Facilitates coverage when an employee is out sick or on vacation. Working with other operations areas (UW, Closing, etc.) – collaboratively solves LP, DU and other technology issues. Provides prompt customer service to both internal and external customers. Delivers education and training for all policies and procedures to ensure staff has knowledge, skills and resources to execute their responsibilities. Assists with processing duties as needed, to include processing loan files, restructuring loans, overflow support, problem solving. Ability to analyze a loan file, determine borrower ratios, qualification and program applicability, analyze credit reports and appraisals. Monitors and manages Processor performance to include pipeline turn times, attendance and punctuality, internal and external customer service. Other job duties as requested by RMS. Minimum Requirements (including licenses, registrations and certifications) Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance. Three to five years of residential mortgage processing experience is required as well as prior supervisory duties. Strong knowledge of Encompass Loan Operating System. Strong knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and State Housing lending guidelines and requirements. Ability to work as a team player, maintain a positive attitude, good listening ability. Ability to prioritize and organize work flow, balance capacity. Good attention to detail; ability to handle multiple jobs.
