DATE POSTED: 09/06/19 JOB TITLE: CLERK IV RECRUITMENT NO: KCH 19-184 (Temporary, Full-Time, w/o Benefits) JOB LOCATION: KONA COMMUNITY HOSPITAL – Dietary SALARY RANGE: $2,722 PER MO (SR-10; BU:03) JOB DUTIES: This position is responsible for performing a wide range of clerical functions where some originating and planning of work are called for. The position will perform moderately complex to highly complex clerical functions in product ordering, records management and data input services, as well as, cashiering duties for the department. The position will maintain payroll records assuring that time sheets are appropriately completed, assists the department with clerical tasks and record keeping and performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE: Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week. EDUCATION: None required. High school graduate preferred. EXPERIENCE: Two and one-half (2 ½) years of clerical work experience which involved the performance of a variety of clerical tasks and demonstrated knowledge of English grammar, spelling, arithmetic, common office appliances and equipment (e.g., copying machines, word processors, etc.); and the ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, carry out procedures in clerical work systems, communicate effectively orally and in writing; deal tactfully with others; operate common office equipment; and organize and prioritize work tasks. Supervisory Aptitude: Supervisory aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion or regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects; by serving as a group or team leader, or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrating supervisory capabilities exist; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisor skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential. CERTIFICATION: None required. LICENSE: None required. STEPS TO AN ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW, SUBSEQUENT APPEALS: If you do not agree with a decision made by the Employment Office as to your non-qualification or non-selection for a position, you may complete a Request for Administrative Review form (available on the HHSC website) or you may submit a written request within twenty (20) days from the date of your sent notice to the Regional Chief Executive Officer/Designee. Your letter requesting the Administrative Review must include 1.
