Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements. This position will be the Business Capabilities leader, reporting to the Loan Delivery program leader as part of the Wholesale Transformation Office. The role will lead the management and strategic direction of the Collateral and Legal Documentation solutions supporting Wholesale Banking. This leader will work closely with business partners, business analysts, data providers, and senior executives to evaluate business requirements and ensure business needs are being met and enabled through a robust set of systems/tools. Responsibilities include partnering with the Wholesale technology team to build and maintain systems, as well as leading initiatives to provide key system and data enhancements, support regulatory changes, comply with technology upgrades, and continually prioritize business needs against cost and capacity to deliver. Additional responsibilities include: Relationship management and initiatives leadership: Work closely with business partners to understand business processes and value chain to align solutions to business need and priority Partner with Wholesale technology on alignment of strategy with both Wholesale Transformation and Technology strategic priorities Drive successful completion of multiple strategic initiatives within the domain, enabling future state processes for multiple lines of business Develop and maintain the platform strategy and roadmaps Stay current with industry trends and emerging technology in the domain Develop consultative services and innovative capabilities for core solutions Leading the team: Oversee and support the day to day management of the team of application business owners and business analysts, including staffing, recruiting, talent management, expense management. Support annual budgeting process with long term planning for staffing and alignment of expenses with strategic plans. Further develop the team to provide effective, efficient, and consistent services to all of our partners. Drive for improvements in speed to market, reductions in cost, and elimination of duplicative systems across the environment. Focus on team member engagement, development and coaching of the team to develop solutions that have the right balance between meeting business needs, capturing efficiencies of scale and quality of delivery, and providing consistent processes and tools that support multiple lines of business within Wholesale Banking. Actively connect across Wholesale Transformation and other programs to share and learn from system strategies, roadmaps, and knowledge.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of product development and product management experience 6+ years of management experience
Other Desired Qualifications
8+ years of experience in consulting or business process engineering environment 10+ years in one or more of the following: strategic planning or large scale program management Working experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools such as ALM, Jira, and Confluence Ability to create User Stories and Acceptance Criteria Identifiable knowledge, experience, and understanding of SDLC requirements process and methodologies Experience with Wholesale systems, requirements, data flows and solutions desired Experience in developing new systems and capabilities Strong strategic leadership, solid communication and relationship building skills, problem solving skills, drives for results, and strong project management acumen Knowledge of domain subject area: Collateral and Legal Documentation platforms Proven ability to work successfully with all levels (including Senior Leadership) of management on high impact initiatives across multiple LOBs Demonstrated experience as a results-oriented and resourceful leader, capability of quickly taking control of responsibilities and establishing oneself as a credible strategic partner Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to enroll stakeholders, peers, and management Influence and collaboration skills to achieve solutions that meet the needs of the organization; able to resolve issues and overcome obstacles Experience in effectively navigating and influencing a complex organization Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement
