SUMMARY: The Mortgage Closing Supervisor provides leadership and day-to-day direction and administration of the closing department. The incumbent must have a high degree of knowledge of the closing area functions. The incumbent serves as a resource to both bank lending associates and mortgage closing associates during the closing process. The incumbent will be responsible for the direct supervision of all closing associates. The Mortgage Closing Supervisor will promote and practice team culture while working with the support team and the mortgage lenders in the achievement of production goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide day-to-day supervision of the Mortgage Loan Closers, and provide prompt, constructive feedback regarding performance of the assigned duties.
Work to ensure that the workload is allocated in a manner that promotes a high level of customer service, efficiency, accuracy and timeliness.
Manage the closing queue pipeline according to volume and/ or need to confirm SLA?s (service level agreements) are being met.
Provide information and guidance to team lead and closing associates on escalated issues; such as Mavent compliance failures, fee changes, applicable baseline updates, and timing requirements for loan estimates and closing disclosures.
Provide adequate training to associates regarding all tasks and functions related to the position. Train associates on new guidelines, policies, procedures and changes in regulations. Review files worked by new associates before the loan is closed and funded.
Monitor the quality of loans closed in order to provide training when needed. Work closely with Quality Control, Underwriting Managers, Accounting, and Servicing to address any issues as they arise. Offer suggestions to avoid issues on future loan files.
Ensure the cure report is reviewed and the source of cures is determined and that departments coordinate with one another, as needed for correction.
Assist manager in updating policies and procedures for regulatory changes and ensure Closing Quick Reference Guide is updated.
Provide assistance in areas of understanding and clarifying underwriting guidelines, regulatory compliance, and product knowledge.
Maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory guidelines (RESPA, REG BM, REG Z, TILA, TRID, etc.). Keep knowledge and certifications in regulations up to date by attending additional training.
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Directly supervise two or more full-time associates as assigned by the manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest?s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank?s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree or equivalent mortgage experience required.
4 years mortgage/escrow/title company experience required.
A complete understanding of all real estate regulatory, including but not limited to: RESPA, TRID, Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Lending, Reg B (ECOA), Reg C (HMDA), Flood Act and Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines required.
Working knowledge of agency, investor and state and federal regulatory guidelines and lending laws required.
A complete understanding of the closing costs, fees and applicable state laws and federal regulations required.
1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.
