Transfers product from the production line to shipping boxes for storage and shipment of product while adhering to all, (EHS), Environment, Health and Safety rules, the Company’s Core Values and Code of Conduct. Works 8 hour shifts in a team environment and High Performance Culture. Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate documentation and specifications written in English.Supports initiatives to promote behaviors and leading indicators to eliminate EHS hazards and ensure Product Safety and Stewardship (PSS).
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS: (not to be considered all inclusive)
Transfers product to work table 45% - 90%
Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met. Mark and label containers, or products, using marking tools and labels. Transfers product from production line trim press table to the worktable. Uses propane torch to burn the rough edges of the product. Transfers product from the worktable to the shipping boxes. Assists Lead Packer and Operator in training temporary and new employees.
Performs other packing duties as required 10%
Form and transfer cardboard shipping boxes and gaylords to the pallet lift. Two employees transfer pallets from a stack to the pallet lift. Places plastic bags in the shipping boxes and gaylords. Shrink-wraps the filled boxes on the pallets. Speaks into intercom for forklift to transfer completed pallets to staging area. Assists in keeping work area clean by sweeping and dusting or other cleaning activities. May cut the sheet of plates to stop production.

Safety glasses, earplugs, worktable – 35” height, trim press table – 39” height, and plastic dividers
Trays – 100,000 – 200,000/shift in stacks of 75 – 225 trays or
~450 stacks to ~2,100 stacks per shift depending on product and line.
Pallets (2 people handle) average 44#; range 25# - 75# in weight.
Boxes and gaylords ~5# - 20#
Labels - ~3#
Rolls of bags – full rolls = 33#
Boxes of product up to 108# (lifted by 2 people) 18” – 28” height 0 – 2 reps/shift
