Accounting Team Member

Location: Bentonville, AR 72712 Job Type: Full Time Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance Work Experience: 3+ years Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree/Equivalent Experience Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
As an Accounting Team member, you will support the CFO, Payroll/HR Director in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting/finance department. This position requires an individual that is energetic and enthusiastic, detailed oriented and self motivated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares Purchase Orders by verifying specifications and pricing; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department Procures items by forwarding orders to suppliers Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers Develops and maintains good working relationships with suppliers; updates and maintains vendor data base Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents Verifies approval on all invoices and check requests Codes invoices for A/P entry Annual 1099 preparation Reconciles company purchasing card statements weekly along with employee expense vouchers and records expenses in the payables system. Processes purchasing card statement for approval and payment monthly Does all client invoicing/billing daily Reviews/manages A/R for collections if needed Prepares and files monthly sales tax reports Documentation of policies and procedures for accounting duties Perform other accounting, financial or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the CFO
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience 3+ years of related work experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Good working knowledge of general ledger accounting Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic work environment Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office; with emphasis on Excel Great attention to details Self Motivated Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization Ability to multitask If you would like to be part of a dynamic team offering unprecedented creative solutions throughout every aspect of every project send your resume in PDF format to careers@sequoyahmarketing.com
