The Account Clerk II provides exceptional customer service by resolving customer’s issues and concerns in a timely manner and by accurately posting water payments to the customer’s account. May require independent judgment in the disposition of routine matters without direct supervision. Will work under the direct supervision of the Water Billing and Collections Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support for the department. In addition to other duties as assigned, will provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer’s request in person and via the phone, work in conjunction with all areas of the organization when necessary to effectively identify and resolve customer issues. Will maintain and balance a cash drawer including cash, credit card, and check transactions, identify issues impacting customer accounts and recommend appropriate solutions. Will navigate and understand multiple computer software programs, including programs specific to the water utility and learn and understand the POA policies and department procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have a High School education or up to 3+ years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
