Benefits Analyst

The DirectPath Benefit Analyst is responsible for the collection, organization and maintenance of client benefit plan information, preparation of client communication and Benefits Educator training material, and coordination of interdepartmental activities related to benefits enrollment. This is a full time position based in our corporate headquarters in Birmingham, AL. Must be able to travel after six months of training. Benefit Analyst - Primary Responsibilities Maintain and update our client’s employee benefits communications through an interactive technology solution Provide support to client relationship manager and field services team throughout project implementation Proactively communicate project needs, employee participation rates and feedback with brokers, clients, client relationship managers and field services team Recognize key common issues and suggest best practices and solutions for process improvement Serve as a liaison with IS technical team, project leads, and others to ensure streamlined delivery of overall project plan Support resolution efforts of service requests with Benefit Educators when needed Respond to client questions and provide follow up within designated time-frame Promote and facilitate high levels of communication updating internal and external stakeholders of ticket status and resolutions Work with client relationship manager to create project calendar using Microsoft Publisher Edit guides and manage revision process with clients, carriers and broker partners Set-up open enrollment and new hire projects (phone numbers & tree, landing pages, URLS, documentation, client materials, FAQ sheets) Take notes during team meetings and calls Audit enrollment calls Prepare monthly benefit training information for training manager
Requirements Exhibits a professional and consultative demeanor with internal stakeholders and customers of all types Consistently delivers excellent customer service Must be detail oriented and be able work with large amounts of data Must have strong email, phone and face to face communication skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Must be able to travel
Education & Background Bachelor's degree preferred Experience in the health insurance or benefits field preferred Experience with a proven track record in client service Ability to effectively write and orally communicate professionally Ability to learn and proficiently use internal systems that support the role
