How will you make an impact?
This is a plant floor inspection position requiring verification of mold performance at the machine involving looking for various visual defects, molding and maintenance interaction, product disposition, follow up of prior corrective actions, and taking samples. This position will gather assembly and molding samples, test and make product disposition according to inspection procedures.
What will you do?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.) Follow safety guidelines and report any problems immediately.
2.) Associate must be capable of reading interpreting and applying written instructions.
3.) Associate must be capable of performing Quality Patrols as per work instruction associated with the task which encompass the following:
a.) Product Visual Inspection
b.) Box Weight and Labeling Verification
c.) Process Documents and Records Confirmation (First Piece Sheets, Mold Information Sheets, etc…)
4.) Product Disposition, ensure upon the identification of Non-Conforming Material that the process for the Control Of Non-Conforming Material is followed. Associates must utilize the eWorkorder system to initiate work orders upon the identification of non- conforming material. Associate must also generate and post Quality Alerts and Non-conforming samples for molded product Non-Conformances upon identification of Non-Conforming material.
5.) Associate must process samples which require Lid Pull and PSI testing as per work instruction associated with the task during their respective scheduled work days / shifts.
6.) Associate must collect and prepare sterility confirmation test samples as per the work instruction associated with the task.
7.) Associate must perform periodic fitness checks on Monitoring and Measuring Equipment as listed in the site’s Calibration Log.
8.) Associate shall be responsible for maintain record storage requirements as per work instruction associated with the task.
9.) Associate must have good Written and Oral skills in order to report out on lab testing results with Production, Maintenance and other interested parties both internally and externally.
10.) Associate must be capable of reading interpreting and applying written instructions.
11.) Associates must be able to write legibly and utilize Good Documentation Practices when completing documentation specific to Quality Lab Testing and other associated activities.
12.) Associate is to adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in work instruction associated with the task.
13.) Associate shall work with Quality Staff on development of new testing.
14.) Maintain lab cleanliness as per the work instruction associated with the task.
15.) Associate is to assist in other site and department related tasks as needed.
16.) Associate will be required as needed to cover alternate shifts due to absences.
17.) In the event that the associate is needed to fill-in for a Quality Lab Associate the following requirements apply:
a.) Perform Testing as outlined in Quality Lab Work Instructions and/or protocols for the following:
1.) Daily In-Process Inspection Samples
2.) Process Validations
3.) Quick Tests and Mold Verifications
4.) Receiving Inspection
5.) Special Testing As Needed
b.) Associate must have good time management skills in order to manage the Quality Lab and all tasks associated with planned and unplanned events.
c.) Associate must perform box weight calculations in a timely manner as outlined in the procedure associated with the activity, confirming the weight calculation by performing a hard count or utilizing a weight count scale.
d.) Associate shall be responsible for conducting periodic volumetric checks on all molded vials as per work instruction associated with the task.
e.) Associate is to maintain SILO resin LOT Traceability Matrix as per work instruction associated with the task.
f.) Associate is to produce lab testing reagents and materials as needed per work instructions associated with the task. Associate is to also maintain an inventory log of lab supplies.
g.) Associate is to maintain cleanliness and daily inspection of monitoring and measuring equipment.

1.) High School Education or GED Equivalent
2.) Prior Quality Control Experience Preferred
3.) Good Interpersonal Skills
4.) Minimal Computer Skills Required- Excel and Word
5.) Capable of Decision Making
6.) Capable of Multi-tasking
7.) Physically able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
8.) Physically able to stand for long periods of time
9.) Physically able to identify and differentiate between colors
10.) Capable of clear and concise written and oral communication
